Job Description: Officiate at competitive athletic or sporting events. Detect infractions of rules and decide penalties according to established regulations. Includes all sporting officials, referees, and competition judges.
Umpires, Referees, and Other Sports Officials spend a lot of their time Resolving Conflicts and Negotiating with Others. They are naturally good at Problem Sensitivity, Oral Comprehension, Oral Expression, and Perceptual Speed. Umpires, Referees, and Other Sports Officials are typically characterized as being Realistic and Enterprising.
