Job Description: Adjust and operate surveying instruments, such as the theodolite and electronic distance-measuring equipment, and compile notes, make sketches and enter data into computers.
Surveying Technicians spend a lot of their time Documenting/Recording Information. They are naturally good at Oral Comprehension, Oral Expression, Far Vision, and Near Vision. Surveying Technicians are typically characterized as being Realistic and Conventional. They are usually very knowledgable about Mathematics, Geography, and Design and are skilled at Reading Comprehension and Time Management.
