Court Reporters

Job Description: Use verbatim methods and equipment to capture, store, retrieve, and transcribe pretrial and trial proceedings or other information. Includes stenocaptioners who operate computerized stenographic captioning equipment to provide captions of live or prerecorded broadcasts for hearing-impaired viewers.

Court Reporters spend a lot of their time Documenting/Recording Information. They are naturally good at Oral Comprehension, Near Vision, Speech Recognition, and Oral Expression. Court Reporters are typically characterized as being Conventional and Enterprising. They are usually very knowledgable about Clerical, English Language, and Computers and Electronics and are skilled at Reading Comprehension and Writing.
